Dr. Tony Roach

Dr. Tony Roach is called all over the United States and overseas teaching the God’s Love Bank Spiritual Growth Program and Curriculum and Church leadership workshops on The Biblical Model of the Government, Organization, And Development of The Local Church also known as, The G-O-D Link! Dr. Roach is known for his emphasis on Sound Doctrine which he says is healthy, wholesome, solid, Spiritual teaching from the Word of God that builds up the whole person’s spirit, soul, and body. Understanding the importance of education, and to prepare himself to best serve God’s people, Dr. Roach earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science (Psychology, Sociology, and Economics) from Hiram College, Hiram Ohio, a Master of Science degree in Ministry and Evangelism from Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas, and a Doctor of Divinity degree in Marriage and Family Facilitation also from Abilene Christian University.

Dr. Roach earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from Hiram College in Ohio (Psychology, Sociology and Economics). He earned a Master of Science degree in Ministry and Evangelism from Abilene Christian University in Texas and he also earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Marriage and Family Facilitation from Abilene Christian. He was the first African American to earn a doctoral degree from Abilene Christian University in the history of the school.

Dr. Roach was trained for 29 years under the late Dr. John Steve Winston in the Sound Doctrine Training Program a training that he values more than any of his degrees. He served as the chairman of the John S. Winston Sound Doctrine Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit scholarship program for over 28 years. Dr. Roach was also trained for several years in a PhD program called the Social Values Framework Process under Dr. Lewis Lemmond, professor of education at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. Dr. Lemmond was Roach’s academic mentor and primary advisor in his doctoral thesis, which ultimately became the God’s Love Bank Program and Curriculum which is being used in churches all over the United States and overseas.

Dr. Roach planted and established the Minda St. Church of Christ in 1979, serving as the Evangelist and Elder for thirty-eight (38) of those years. He retired from local congregational ministry to refire to take the God’s Love Bank Program and Curriculum global. He now serves as the Minister Emeritus of Minda St. Congregation and has been for the last seven (7) years. Dr. Roach trained eight Elders-In-Training and seven Deacons-In-Training some of whom are still serving in that capacity. The Minda St. Congregation is known for being a Multicultural “Rainbow Church” as a result of its cultural and ethnic breakdown of members. Minda St. is responsible for teaching the Gospel and baptizing thousands of people from all races and all ethnic groups over the last 45 years.

Dr. Roach is the author of six large books: God’s Love Bank; You are God’s Love Bank; Discovering God’s Purpose as God’s Love Bank; God’s Love Bank--The Missing Ingredient--Five Stages of Spiritual Growth With The Holy Spirit; I Am God’s Love Bank and So Are You—OWN IT! Plus, an interactive workbook that pairs with the OWN IT book. Dr. Roach just released a new book called, The Gift Journey--Your Path to Your Gift, Purpose, and Destiny! He has also authored a Five-Volume God’s Love Bank Spiritual Growth Church Curriculum covering Fifteen Core Values of Jesus and Fifteen Tools of Thinking in the Curriculum. He has also written a Twelve Volume GLB Small Book Series. He is the CEO and founder of his company called God’s Love Bank Enterprises. Dr. Roach and his wife Candyce are the proud parents of four grown children. They live in Irving, Texas.
