George M. Williams

Workshop Presenter

George M. Williams is currently serving as the pulpit and senior minister of the church of Christ at East Side in Austin, TX. He has been serving in that capacity for 41 years. He is very happily married to the love of his life – Gail, and together they share 4 grown children, and 4 grandchildren (1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons).


Brother Williams is well known and respected in our brotherhood. He is a much sought-after

speaker on state and national lectureships, revivals, workshops, and city campaigns. He has

served as a literary contributor to the Blueprints Bible curriculum published by 21 st Century

Christian. And he authored his first book entitled, “Lord I Need an Attitude Adjustment” (An exposition on the book of Malachi) also published by 21st Christian. He was honored by Southwestern Christian College with Image Awards in the areas of Leadership and Ministerial Achievement. The Austin community recognized him as an African American Male Role model. And the Edwards Ministerial Associations honored him with the “Man of the Year” award.


He currently serves as a board member of the Capital Area Private Defender Service. The

Capital Area Private Defender Service is dedicated to assisting indigent clients of Travis County facing criminal charges. It guarantees that those who can’t afford legal defense are provided with top quality legal defense.


Educationally, he has:

1. Associate of Arts degree in Bible (Southwestern Christian College)

2. Bachelor of Science degree in Ministry and Evangelism (Abilene Christian University)

3. Master Of Science degree in Biblical and Related Subjects (Abilene Christian University)

4. Master of Divinity degree (David Lipscomb University).

5. In final semester of Doctorate program at David Lipscomb University.


Brother Williams’ greatest life goal is… “To simply to be the best Christian man and servant of God I can be, so that when this life is over, I hear Christ say, ‘Well done thou good and faithful servant.’”
