Dr. Quincy J. Byrdsong

Workshop Presenter

Dr. Quincy J. Byrdsong is the Education Ministry Director for the Simpson Street Church

of Christ (SSCOC) in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, Dr. Byrdsong has strategic, operational, and programmatic oversight of spiritual education and curriculum development in concert with the Senior Minister. Dr. Byrdsong is charged with the development and implementation of the SSCOC Education Ministry strategic plan and works with the Directors of Curriculum Alignment and Teacher Training.


In addition to Dr. Byrdsong’s work in the ministry, he is an avid public speaker and frequently speaks to audiences around the world on the topics of clinical trial administration, research ethics, and human research protections including the history of human experimentation in the U.S. and the analysis of Black population’s participation in clinical research. He is currently a contributing author to the Monthly Matters publication and provides all articles for the Study Skills Matters series.


Dr. Byrdsong received his Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and his Doctor of Education degree from Tennessee State University (TSU). He is currently in his final semester of the Master of Arts program in Biblical Exposition at Liberty University.
